Founder’s Message

At Som Herbal Specialities, our work is guided by a simple but demanding principle: herbal and Ayurvedic products must be scientifically honest, botanically correct, and responsibly manufactured.

My professional life has been dedicated to the study of medicinal plants, their identification, and their chemical diversity. Over more than five decades in chemotaxonomy and phytochemical research, I have seen both the strength of India’s herbal traditions and the risks that arise when plant-based products are developed without scientific rigor or respect for quality.

Having served as a Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and having guided numerous doctoral researchers in plant-based chemical sciences, I founded Som Herbal Specialities after my formal retirement with a clear objective: to create a manufacturing organization that represents Ayurveda and Indian herbal science with credibility on the global stage.

At Som Herbal Specialities, we place exceptional emphasis on correct botanical identity, controlled sourcing, and process discipline. We believe that every herbal formulation must be traceable, reproducible, and supported by sound scientific reasoning—especially when it is intended for international markets such as the European Union, the United States, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries.

Our goal is not merely to manufacture products, but to build long-term partnerships based on trust, transparency, and consistent quality. We work closely with our partners to ensure that our formulations meet both traditional Ayurvedic intent and modern regulatory expectations.
